Quilted Christmas Balls – Weekend Project

08.27.2012 · Posted in Craft Projects

Its that time of year when all good elves start working to make gifts for the holiday bazaars.  I love going to bazaars and finding unique and beautiful arts and crafts.  So much fun and really fuels my creative side.  This year I’m making these quilted Christmas ornaments.  They’re  dazzling on a Christmas tree and make a fabulous heirloom gift.

These are easy peasy to make…just fabric scraps, straight pins and 3-inch styrofoam balls.

Check out this video below.

I’ll update this post with new balls as I work my way up to bazaar days so check back often.

  1. These are absolutely beautiful! My Grandma made similar Christmas decorations, and crochet snowflakes every Christmas. I’ve already followed her footsteps with crochet, and now I’m inspired to create these gorgeous ornaments.

  2. Thank you. I’ve always wanted to make these quilted balls. Lots of fun mix and matching fabrics and watching them come together. If you’re already crochet proficient you should try making a rug. Super easy.
