I must say, I made this cake today and I am so blown away. It is absolutely to die for. I have been baking a lot lately and trying out different recipes, and this one truly exceeded my expectations. Now I look forward to making your perfect chocolate cake. May use the recipe for cupcakes for my sons birthday next weekend. Thank you!!

Try adding 1 cup of flour and pinch of sugar to your starter. Stir it well, cover and let set at room temperature for 24 hours. If that doesn't work then its most likely the natural yeast has died. Be sure to use bottled water or unchlorinated water. Chlorine will kill yeast. Some bacterias will also kill the yeast. Liquid will accumulate on the surface of the starter if it has not been used and fed for a few days.
